On February 8, the Epilepsy Centre Freiburg organized an Epilepsy Day. Under the direction of Dr. Martin Hirsch and Dr. Andreas Schulze-Bonhage, doctors and representatives from patient associations gave talks on practical aspects of epilepsy in both children and adults.

Dr. Vera Dinkelacker and Analbery Monteiro presented the Strasbourg sub-project of IMAGINE-STIM Upper Rhine at their stand and made connections with German epilepsy associations.

As part of the project goal of transferring research results to society, we will be discussing aspects of epilepsy with patients and their representatives in the video forum.
This will include both the transfer of scientific results, such as the lecture by Dr. Eva Martinez (Freiburg Epilepsy Center) on March 5, 2025, as well as specific everyday issues. Our video forums will also cover topics like patient training (Dr. Nils Margraf, Clinic for Neurology, Kiel) and practical regulations, such as driving licenses and the Severely Disabled Persons Act (Thomas Porschen – International Epilepsy Patient Ambassador).

If you or your self-help group are interested in participating in our video forum, please send an email to Analbery Monteiro (analberymonteiro@unistra.fr).
We look forward to your participation!
